Terms of Use

Use of this website and other features and interfaces of the OneTimeline Project (the Project) signifies agreement with the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use or participate in the OneTimeline Project.

Information Quality

While we hope that the information in the OneTimeline Project is useful, and make efforts to see that it is, we do not many any guarantee as to its accuracy and reliability. The OneTimeline Project should never be considered to be a "primary source", but may be useful in finding good primary sources. Remember that information here is user-generated. In the future, we hope to add features that will further enhance the quality of our historical data.

Historical Disputes

History can be messy business. When disputes arise concerning details of an event or series of events, any valid opinion of a chronology may be represented. Competing points of view are encouraged to reference one another.

User Submitted Content

The information found in the OneTimeline Project is largely contributed by volunteers who are not directly affiliated with the Project. We welcome such contributions, and in fact depend on them to create a useful historical resource. By submitting content to the Project you certify that:

  • The content is free of Copyright restrictions.
  • The content is appropriate. Howe Software, Inc. solely reserves the right to define what is appropriate for the Project.
  • The content is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate.
  • The event(s) being described are of consequence to a significant community.
  • You release ownership of the content to the Project and its owners (see Content Ownership, below).

Content may be removed for any or no reason by the owners and managers of the Project.

Content Ownership

All content on the Project, including user-submitted content, is the property of the Project and its owners unless otherwise noted, and Howe Software, Inc. holds copyright to it. If you feel there is content on the site to which you hold Copyright, which was submitted without your consent, please notify us immediately by calling 435-868-4165. We will do our best to avoid infringement of your rights if we are aware of the infraction.
